The Board of Governors of the Caribbean Development Bank has voted to replace Professor Compton Bourne with Jamaican Dr William Warren Smith as President of the CDB.
Smith, 58, who has been acting VP of Operations since August 16 of this year, had previously served as Director of Finance at the Barbados-based Bank.
The decision came at the end of a marathon meeting which ran from 9:30 am to 8PM Friday.
Bourne’s contract officially expires April 30. (KJ)
