Trinidad sweep series against Windwards

ROSEAU – Trinidad and Tobago defeated the Windward Islands by seven wickets on Saturday to make a clean sweep of a two-match Twenty20 cricket series at the Windsor Park Stadium.
Batting first, the Windwards made 138 for five with a second-wicket partnership of 76 between Johnson Charles (51) and Andre Fletcher (28). Kavem Hodge also contributed with an unbeaten 39 from 30 balls, while Sherwin Ganga bagged two for 34, bowling for Trinidad and Tobago.
In reply, openers Evin Lewis (44) and Adrian Barath (29) provided  a good start for the Trinidadians on their way to victory.
Unbeaten knocks from Denesh Ramdin (29) and Jason  Mohammed (14) saw Trinidad and Tobago reach 139 for three from 14.5 overs.
The Trinidadians, who are preparing for the Champions League T20 in India which starts on September 17, won the first match on Friday by five runs. (CMC)
