The Cocks don’t seem to stop crowing at Princess Margaret Secondary School.

Cocks House (Red) captured their second successive inter-house sports when they edged Halghs (Green) yesterday on the school grounds,?Six Roads, St Philip.
With victor ludorum Towain King leading the charge, the defending champions amassed 915 points, nine more than the second placed Greenhalghs, who finished on 906 points.
Third place went to Peebles House (Purple) on 839 points, while Alleyne House (Blue) were a distant fourth, finishing with 664 points.
Red also dominated both the girls’ and boys’ divisions, with their athletes accounting for five of the ten divisional titles.
King didn’t cop the coveted title by himself though, as he had to share it with Peeble’s Chad Small, with both athletes having accumulated 67 points.
There was no sharing of the victrix ludorum title, however, with Green’s Kamilah Hinds claiming it on her way to ending the day on 57 points.
It was a superb performance from King, and a much welcomed one at that, with Cocks needing every available point before shaking off Greenhalgh’s strong challenge.
Competing in the Under-15 division, he dominated the other competitors on his way to winning six of the seven events in which he competed.
He claimed gold in the javelin, shot put and discus, before turning his attention to the track where he emerged victorious in the three sprint events: the 100, 200 and 400 metres.
King also placed fifth in the 800 metres.
Small was equally dominant in the Under-20 boys’ category on his way to also capturing the divisional title.
Hinds, an Under-17 athlete, edged out Under-13 competitor Brielle Maynard, of Red House, for the top prize, with Maynard coming up just short, as she collected 54 points.
