There is a change in the top of the guard at the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
Dave Cameron, a 42-year-old Jamaican, has been elected as the new president of the WICB.
In a closely fought contest, at the WICB’s annual general meeting at the Accra Beach Hotel, Cameron defeated Julian Hunte 7-5.
Cameron’s running mate, Emmanuel Nanthan of Dominica is the new vice-president.
He defeated Barbados Cricket Association president Joel Garner 8-4.
Hunte, 73, served as WICB president since 2007 with Cameron as his vice-president throughout his tenure.
Cameron first became a director in 2002 before being elevated to the No. 2 position five years later. (HG)
