Myrie twist

THE SHANIQUE MYRIE saga has taken a new twist.
While the Jamaican woman’s lawyers are complaining about Barbados’ delay in allowing Myrie to return to identify those whom she accused of violating her privacy, the Barbados Government is objecting to an attempt to block her from being questioned.
Myrie claimed she was subjected to a cavity search by Immigration officers, who denied her entry into the island.
In a strongly-worded statement,  attorneys Hylton Brown and Anthony Hylton accused the Barbados authorities of trying to cover up the issue involving Myrie’s arrival at Grantley Adams International Airport on March 14. (TS)
