GEORGETOWN, Guyana – Overnight and morning rain has ruined play for the second successive day in all three fourth-round matches in the WICB Regional Under-19 Championship yesterday.
Not a ball was possible at any of the venues as rain continued to cloak the capital Georgetown, keeping outfields under water.
Leaders Jamaica are facing Leeward Islands at Everest while second-placed Trinidad and Tobago are down to face third-placed Barbados at the Demerara Cricket Club. At Bourda, hosts Guyana are due to meet reigning champions Windward Islands.
Weather also ravaged the last round of matches though Jamaica and T&T still managed to emerge with full points from their fixtures.
Jamaica lead the standings with 28 points, Trinidad and Tobago have 24.3, Barbados are third with 20.3, Guyana follow with 15.8, while the Windwards have mustered 7.3, and Leewards, 6.7. (CMC)
