ST JOHN’S – New Zealand reached 232 for four in their first innings at the close of play on the opening day of the first Digicel cricket Test against West Indies today at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua after winning the toss and deciding to bat in sunny conditions.
Opener Martin Guptill fell three runs short of a century for 97 while both Daniel Flynn and captain Ross Taylor were out for 45. Off-spinner Sunil Narine has been the West Indies’ most successful bowler so far with three wickets for 73 runs. (EZS)
