Swim double for Harrison College

HARRISON COLLEGE successfully defended both titles in the Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championships today at the Aquatic Centre.
The Harrison College girls scored 256 points for their third straight title, while the boys scored 300.5 for back-to-back crowns.
Queen’s College were second overall among the girls with 217 points, followed by The St Michael School with 203. St Ursula’s and Combermere School rounded out the top five with 91 and 54 points, respectively.
Harrison College dominated the boys’ division, with The St Michael School a distant second on 186 points. Queen’s College were third with 149, followed by Combermere (78) and Christ Church Foundation School (58.5).
Harrison College did not have a single division champion, but secured the titles through a total team effort.
Among those taking division honours were St George Secondary’s Akeem Nurse and Kimberley Willoughby of Combermere in the 15 and over section as well as Deighton Griffith’s Alex Sobers and Alexis Clarke of Queen’s College in the 13 to 14 age group.
Damon St Prix, a former primary champion is now at Combermere and he took the boys’ 12 and under division, while McKayla Treasure of Providence Secondary was first among the girls. (SAT)
