THE RIHANNA LOUD CONCERT may have come at a bad time, some Grand Kadooment bandleaders say.
And at least two of them have informed the DAILY NATION that some revellers have withdrawn from their bands to use the money to attend the concert. Today is Grand Kadooment and the Rihanna LOUD concert takes place at Kensington Oval on Friday.
Veteran bandleader Gwyneth Squires said she believed the concert should have been held at least one month after Grand Kadooment to give fans time to save money for it.
“The people are really not jumping because they want to go to the Rihanna show. They don’t have that kind of money to pay for costume [and show]. My opinion is that that the [Rihanna] show should have been in September or October.” she said. (MM)
