This weekend is expected to be chock full of activity as locals and visitors try to capitalize on the final days of the Sweetest Summer Festival.
There is no shortage of activity for the Crazy People intent on having a Good Time, as party animals gear up to Cova de Road by the thousand on Monday for Grand Kadooment, which will bring this year’s festival to a climax. It is anticipated to be non-stop Jammin’ from Warrens to Spring Garden, with revellers behaving “baddy”.
In between the limes, parties and various official events, three monarchs will be crowned by Monday night. They are the Calypso and Tune-Of-The-Crop Monarchs in competitions by producer the National Cultural Foundation (NCF) and the Starcom Network-sponsored People’s Monarch.
The stage is set, the 10 finalists are fighting ready, and tickets are “selling hot” for tonight’s battle royal in the MQI Banks/Lime Pic-O-De-Crop Finals slated for Kensington Oval at 8 p.m.
