Thirty-two senior citizens got to enjoy a day dedicated to making them feel loved and appreciated when they took part in the Christmas Wishes Bus Ride 2012 yesterday.
It was the second time for the charity event, organized by Julie Dash, that gives seniors the opportunity to get a bus ride across the island and to be showered with gifts and treats, including a sumptuous lunch.
“I love the children’s outings, but the love and gratitude you get from the seniors is amazing,” Dash said, adding that many seniors were lonely at this time of the year.
The day started with breakfast at Emerald City Supermarket in Six Roads, St Philip. The seniors went to Barclays Park, St Andrew and activities ended with lunch at Moon Town Restaurant in St Lucy.
