ST LEONARD’S BOYS’ are once again kings of secondary schools road tennis.
The Richmond Gap team upstaged Princess Margaret 2-1 in the finals of the National Sports Council’s Secondary Schools League Tournament yesterday evening at the Blenheim, My Lord’s Hill courts.
Kadeem Edwards and Bryant Holder won their matches for St Leonard’s with the former defeating Jerome Pinder 21-9, 22-20 and the latter thrashing Paul Fields 21-14, 21-11.
Princess Margaret’s lone victory came from Hackeem Ellis, who triumphed over Akeem Yarde 21-16, 21-14 in the second contest to leave the title match tied 1-1 before Holder sealed the outcome in the decisive third encounter.
