Name change for Ramsay Roundabout

THE JTC RAMSAY ROUNDABOUT, the site of the Emancipation Statue, popularly called the Bussa Statue, bore a different name for some time yesterday when someone covered the official sign with another bearing the words “Raoul Garcia Circle”.
But Garcia’s attorney David Comissiong, who has been seeking to have an end brought to what he sees as Garcia’s “imprisonment” almost three years after he completed a 20-year prison term, called the act “deplorable”.
He said defacing the Bussa Roundabout was disgusting, considering the importance of Bussa in the history of Barbados.
