Talks on reviving the Four Seasons Resort and Residences project are set to be finalized shortly, with investors and developers due to visit Barbados within the next week.
This was revealed by Avinash Persaud, the executive chairman of Paradise Beach Limited, the company which owns the land and assets of the unfinished property – a 110-key hotel and conference facility, 69 apartments and 12 villas in Black Rock, St Michael.
An upbeat Persaud said investors seemed enthusiastic, although he was unsure when work would recommence following the most recent suspension last year while awaiting funds from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the National Insurance Scheme (NIS).
“We are now in serious discussions with a number of investors, hotel owners and developers, many of whom will be visiting Barbados over the next few days,” he told the SUNDAY SUN. “It would appear from discussions that we are a few weeks from reaching final agreement with new investors, but I am not yet in a position to give a definitive date.”
