The Caribbean Development Bank is providing Barbados with a US$36 million loan to assist with Government’s programme of providing housing for lower income earners not eligible for mortgage financing or who are unable to afford their own homes.
The housing programme will provide 316 housing units at eight different sites mainly in urban areas.
Regionally, the Barbados-based bank said it had approved more than US$120 million in grants and loans to several Caribbean Community (CARICOM) countries for development projects. (CMC)
