Dear Christine,I’ll try to be brief and come to the point of my problem right away. It has to do with my boyfriend who has a friend who also has a girlfriend. We never go out alone. The other couple must always be with us. Christine, I do like them, but what upsets me is that my boyfriend and his friend walk together, talk together, sit together and often ignore us. The other girl and I hate to keep each other’s company. They’ve been buddies “ever since” according to him and he doesn’t see why I should complain. He told me he won’t let anything break up their friendship.– B.BDear B.B.,I’m sure you’ve no desire to break up their friendship but as things are, if you never see him alone, you’re just a spectator at the big game he apparently has going with his friend. And so is the other girl. These two boys still seem to need each other’s support when they are going out on dates. I suggest you insist on some outings with just the two of you.If he believes this can’t be done without losing his friend, he’s just got to put this belief to the test or he’ll never grow up at all.– Christine
