More Canadian tourists soon

OVER 3 000 TOURISTS from Canada are expected to visit Barbados over the next four months through a new charter service.
Air Transat will be offering direct service to Barbados every Sunday until April 2012 – a total of 18 flights.
And according to Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy, the bookings have been “very strong with an 80 per cent load factor”.
This, he said, was “quite exciting”.
A 189-seat Canjet aircraft touched down at Grantley Adams International Airport to a Yuletide welcome Christmas Day with 184 passengers on board as they made their first flight for this winter season. (MM)
