ARCHDEACON Eric Lynch has encouraged young people to be ambassadors for their Saviour through answering the silent cry of the needy, underprivileged and disadvantaged.
Addressing a youth service at St Mary’s Anglican church, under the auspices of The Diocesan Youth Commission, he called on his charges to ensure that they played their role in ensuring there was justice for all in society.
Speaking on the theme Answering The Silent Cry: Justice For All, Lynch told the gathering they were called to be God’s transforming agents through spreading the gospel and bringing others to Him.
“We are called to be engaged, to be coordinated to become what God wants us to be in society . . . As we engage in our year of evangelism (next year), we are going to call you ‘evangelists’ because that’s what you are – messengers of what God wants us to be and to do. Each one of you, no matter how young you are, will recognize your call to be an agent for God’s transformation.”
