PRETORIA – FIFA’s head of refereeing says he’s “very, very satisfied” with the performance of World Cup match officials.Jose-Marcia Garcia-Aranda says some of their decisions “are not good,” but he declined to discuss individual controversies like the disallowed goal which could have given the United States a late lead against Slovenia. He said mistakes are natural for human beings, but the referees’ overall level is very high. He also said FIFA believes referees do not have a duty to explain “every single situation” that happens in a match. (AP)
