It was a wedding walk with a difference in a St Michael district yesterday.
Instead of being chauffeured to the chapel, Nicole Williams decided to dress at her stylist Deborah Hinds’ home and then trek down King George Road in Bank Hall in her bridal gown. She was accompanied by a small bridal party, with groom Deon Corbin waiting just over 100 yards away at the Church of God of Prophecy.
Though she was just over 15 minutes late, Williams was relaxed as she proudly strolled down a “white carpet” laid out for her made of newsprint, held down by a few small stones. Neighbours and well-wishers cheered her on.
A police presence was also there to ensure her unhindered path to the ceremony.
