A brazen daylight shooting has resulted in the death of 42-year-old Daryl ‘Rude’ Harris.
And it has left the community of Phase Two, Barbarees Gardens shaken.
Harris was reportedly outside of his home minutes before 9 a.m. when he was shot multiple times by an assailant on foot and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by private vehicle where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police public relations officer Acting Station Sergeant Michael Blackman said police are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact the nearest police station as soon as possible.
Residents in the area said they now fear for their lives and are calling for the violence to stop. Harris’ death brings this year’s murder total to three for the year. (DB)
