Lions roar at St Lucy

Jordan Tigers’ six-year reign at the St Lucy Inter-House Track and Field Championships came to an end today at the National Stadium when the Corbin Lions snatched victory in the very last race.
In a tight battle with Ifill Eagles, Corbin amassed 899 points to take top spot, Ifill second on 886. The defending champions slumped to third with 839 points and the Ward Panthers brought up the rear with 666.
Corbin had one division champion in Ramon Burnham, claiming the title with teamwork.
Jordan’s Rakeema Holder and Tito Babb won the junior victrix and victor ludorum titles, respectively. Ward’s Jeneice Clarke was senior victrix ludorum, while Dominique Phillips of Ifill was the senior victor ludorum. (SAT)
