Kraigg hits ton

KRAIGG BRATHWAITE achieved another major milestone on Monday.
The prolific 18-year-old opening batsman completed his first first-class century in senior Barbados colours on the final day of the first round WICB regional match against Trinidad and Tobago at Guaracara Park.
After Barbados conceded a narrow first innings lead in the morning session, Brathwaite used the remainder of the day to hit a solid unbeaten 102.
“This means a lot. I want to thank God for giving me the strength and guidance out there. I’m very happy. It is a pleasure to get a hundred for my country,” he said.
Brathwaite’s knock helped Barbados to reach 234 for three in their second innings and the match ended in a tame draw.
At the start of the day, Trinidad and Tobago, resuming on 390 for nine, replying to Barbados’ 395, secured first innings points before they were dismissed for 412. (HG)
