Purple Titan Sade-Mariah Greenidge ran undefeated yesterday at Springer Memorial School’s Inter-House Track and Field Championships at the National Stadium.
In her very first race, she set the first of three new records with a time of 25.83 seconds in the Division One Girls’ 200 metres.
Greenidge, 17, also set new marks in the 400m (62.03) and the 800m (2:40.41). She also won her pet event the 100m hurdles and the 400m hurdles, then her lead leg set an unbeatable pace in the 4×400 metres and Purple came home in a record time of four minutes 32.44 seconds.
She is working towards representing Barbados once again at the CARIFTA Games. While she had a good individual meet, her house finished third overall, with Yellow House regaining the championship for the first time since 2007.
