FLYING FISH & COU COU: He should’ve seen it coming

A certain bossman is not making any sport this year. That was made quite clear when he shared some hot lashes at a recent meeting that knocked a well-known operative right out of his seat.
And even before he could pull himself up from the floorboards, the news was on the airwaves – so loud was the crash. Staffers at the Government institution said he should have seen it coming.
First of all, news had reached the bossman concerning certain under-the-table money-making deals that had been made over the past year. Then there were the rumblings over the organization of a certain international event that went on the ropes even before the referee could get into the ring.
But what would have sealed this operative’s fate was when he did not even acknowledge the presence of the bossman at a recent ceremony. Now all eyes are on what the bossman will come next month. Our information is that most of those who currently sit around the roundtable will also be headed through the door.

Off into the sunset
Is a certain marshall about to be kicked out of town?
Having already lost his badge, it now appears that there are moves afoot to just put him on his horse and let him take a lonely ride into the sunset – be it to the east or west.
Who knows, maybe this outspoken veteran may end up having to pep talk with a one-time adversary.

Opportunity knocks
It looks like a certain school teacher is getting ready to enter the world of politics.
A popular figure in a certain fishing village in the south, this educator’s name is quite well-known in the area.
Indeed, some felt she had been hit below the belt when another politico moved into the area when she seemed like the obvious choice for the race.
However, as fate would have it, her opportunity may yet come. No doubt residents would expect more from her than they got from the gingerbread man.

It’s payback time
They walked away from a showdown they could never have won. Now they are saying it is payback time.
Cou Cou’s sources in the countryside are reporting that if and when the big man decides to make his changes a certain individual who was confident of throwing lashes and another homey of breakfast fame, are hoping that they might be getting some kind of pick.

Not in the same hole
The relationship between two big-ups at a certain Government agency is not looking too rosy at all.In fact, Cou Cou understands that the big brass have now accepted that one of the two must go – the question is which one.
Both have been long and loyal servants to the party and have been considered to be duly rewarded, but it is clear now that two boar rats can’t live in the same hole. Wonder who will break the news.
