Secure property!

A senior lawyer is warning landowners to secure their property if they do not want to lose it to squatters.
This follows a recent case in which the Court of Appeal sided with the legal owners of a plot of land at Pasture Land, Haggatt Hall, St Michael after one man trespassed and attempted to claim it.
It was the 2007 case of Michelle Moore-Griffith, Robin Moore and Basil Moore against Clyde Browne, originally heard by Justice Elneth Kentish.
Browne, who was living next door, moved onto the property of the Moore family and refused to leave after having been instructed to do so, resulting in the siblings successfully filing a case against him. The plaintiffs were represented by Queen’s Counsel Clement Lashley, while Browne was represented by Lalu Hanuman and Satcha Kissoon.
