It’s the case of a missing letter at the Ministry of Education.
Principal Personnel Officer in the Ministry of Education, Stefanie Charles-Soverall, told the Commission of Inquiry into  Alexandra School yesterday no record could be found of a letter purported to have been delivered to the ministry’s records management unit on June 4 last year from the school’s principal Jeff Broomes.
Charles-Soverall was the first witness to give evidence yesterday when the inquiry continued at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.
According to her, the letter was to contain a report – by Broomes regarding comments he made at the school’s annual speech day – as requested by Chief Education Officer Laurie King.
