SHUT UP AND pay, Barbadian superstar Rihanna is now telling the accountants who advised her to buy a property that almost bankrupted her five years ago.
The Grammy Award-winning recording icon won a legal settlement against accountants Peter Gouinis and the firm Berdon LLP, which will have to pay her US$10 million (BDS$20 million), according to international media reports yesterday.
Legal documents in the 2009 case claimed Peter Gouinis and Berdon LLP had advised her to buy a US$9 million property in Los Angeles, California, because it was a good investment.
However, she could barely afford it and the property turned out to be in bad shape, requiring extensive repairs.
