POLICE WILL increase their monitoring of schoolchildren on the street and where they congregate in light of increased violence amongst them.
Word of this came yesterday following the stabbing of three schoolboys in Gall Hill, Christ Church, last Friday evening.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said the force was concerned with the almost weekly occurrence of violent incidents at schools.
“We will heighten our vigilance,” said Welch. “There have been altercations between schoolchildren fighting, whether on buses, outside school or on school premises almost weekly, and it is a cause for concern,” he added.
