How to care for the heart – Healing Herbs

“Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men!” are profound words which were given to me to culminate our female voyage for this month. The voyage was informative and provoked much attention, especially the section on “not allowing others to nibble our breasts”. Today, I want females who followed these articles to focus on the heart. Statistics continue to reveal that females are highly suspect for developing cardiac challenges.  However, in the realm of our creative being the heart should be respected as a brilliant guide and teacher. That is why I always avoid saying that anyone had a “heart attack” because the heart, which is gentle and faithful, will never attack us or itself. Why would our heart, out of which comes all the issues of life, rise up and “attack” us?Consciously, instead of “attacking or assaulting us”, the heart sends powerful messages to inform us about the status of our body. However, I believe that what is deemed “a  mild heart attack” is really a “heart alert” when the heart alerts us that the body is over-burdened with negative emotions, stress, fat, plaque, bad cholesterol and other negative factors that need immediate cleansing and healing.  Additionally, many “silent doctors” are available to assist with heart challenges. My research revealed that stress that may be related to infidelity (a horn) is a No. 1 heart throbber. Infidelity confuses the heart and pains it dreadfully. Lack of exercise, extremely poor eating habits, negative work and family environments and negative thoughts also, often burden the hearts of many women.  They would carry these accumulated hurts and pains for many years, which eventually put excessive strain on the heart and that may lead to “heart alert”.  Dealing with the “alert” involves showing love and care for our hearts. Relieve them of the burdens carried from childhood. Additionally, “silent doctors” including cayenne pepper, tumeric, pomegranate, blue vervain, motherwort, black sage and soursop can be made into teas to maintain a healthy heart. Try using unsweetened soursop punch or Barbadian sorrel and pomegranate juice for about three months.  Any herbs with red flowers is recommended because the red represents the blood. Clean blood is vital for the heart. Of note, leaves in the shape of a heart are also helpful. Research shine bush (peperomia pellucid) or annatto and you will be fascinated. Finally, talk to your heart daily. It needs you now more than ever. If you normally treat your heart well with regular exercise, deep breathing, plenty of “silent doctor” teas and salads, eight glasses of water daily, plenty of fresh fruits, soups, vegetables and fresh cut coconut water, use limited amounts of dairy products, red meats, processed foods, salty, sweet and fast foods and not eating after six o’ clock, congratulations! If you normally treat it badly, touch it now and repeat daily “I am very sorry for ill-treating you and will look after you with loving care from now on”. You will soon see changes in yourself. Love and care for your heart and it may indeed make you a good “fisher”. Remember, it is our most authentic channel to our Creator.
