CHRISTIANS ACROSS Barbados continue to offer up Prime Minister David Thompson in prayer.Ever since his announcement two Fridays  ago that he was being tested overseas to determine what has been causing him stomach pain, several denominations and people have responded to calls to pray for his healing. For close to an hour yesterday, which was National Day of Prayer for Thompson, Senator Reverend Dr David Durant and members of the Restoration Ministries brought out the prayer warriors at Olympus Theatres and prayed fervently for God to heal Thompson and raise him up.
Prayers for DPPrayers were also offered upfor deputy Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and all the other Members of Parliament. Evangelist Courtney Selman of Prayer Warriors International Foundation has invited persons to visit Prayer Warriors website at www.primeministersprayerteam.org  where you can email your prayer request for the Prime Minister, which should consist of no more than 100 words.
Stress of leadershipDurant told the congregation leadership was a stressful vocation and that it was not easy for people who held those positions. The people of Jamaica, which has captured international headlines following a stand-off between the security forces and residents of Tivoli Gardens over plans to extradite Christopher “Dudus” Coke; Trinidad and Tobago, who go to the polls today; and Antigua and the rest ofthe Caribbean were also remembered in prayer.(YB)
