Ross ready to roll

Students of Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) say they are happy to be finally in Barbados.

Several of them touched down at Grantley Adams International Airport on Sunday from the United States, Canada, Panama and other international destinations.

They are among the 1 500 students, staff and faculty members who will be in Barbados within the coming week.

New Yorker Sandy Stewart was just excited to be in a tropical climate. She told THE NATION that after participating in a rigorous training programme in Miramar, Florida, called the Medical Education Readiness Programme (MERP), she was confident about her ability to take on medical school. (TG)
