“Words cannot express how I feel to be alive.” Those are the words of Adrian Clarke, who narrowly escaped death on Friday when he fell off a roof at work.

Recalling what led to the accident, Clarke said: “I was working, moving stuff from one area to the next . . . and sometimes there are unguarded moments.”

Around 9 a.m. last Friday the 46-year-old of Parish Land, Christ Church, fell off the roof of Popular Supermarket at Spooners Hill, St Michael.

Clarke received stitches to the head and was discharged later that day.

The experienced carpenter said he was happy to be surrounded by his family when he left the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, adding that neighbours, friends and co-workers sent him well wishes. (SB)
