Foster and Chichic rule

Roberta Foster and her new competition horse Chichic ruled the arena when the Barbados Equestrian Association held the Barbados leg of the FEI World Dressage Challenge at the Congo Road Equestrian Centre last Saturday.
Foster and Chichic recorded the highest score of the day in the preliminary class for adults (73.017 per cent). This is currently the highest in that test, and for the entire competition so far in Zone 10, with Jamaica, Haiti and the Cayman Islands still to compete.
Foster and Chichic also won the elementary test for adults with 68.851 per cent.
The Barbados team of Jenni Wilson, Michelle Elliot, Akoele Roachford and Roberta Foster recorded a team score of 201.267 per cent, sitting just behind Bermuda, who scored of 202.868 per cent.
Jennie Wilson and Vivaldi’s 65 per cent and Akoele Roachford and Cadans’ 60.172 per cent in the preliminary test for adults were the other two scores that made up the overall team score.
Foster’s sister, Gina Hunte, and the handsome Man in Black won the Prix St George test with 62.303 per cent, ahead of Akoele Roachford on Galantino with 58.355.
In the medium test, team member Michelle Elliot and her horse Vivaldi returned a score of 63.25 per cent and they also won the Best Turned Out Horse award at the veterinary inspection for the third time in this event.
Fourteen-year-old MacKenzie Manning, the pre-eminent youngster in the dressage arena in Barbados, won not only the preliminary test for juniors with a score of 62.328 per cent on Sisco, but the pair also returned a very commendable 62.905 per cent in the elementary test for children.
