The annual Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure will be laid in Parliament without any delays, Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler has promised.
And he’s blaming the Opposition Barbados Labour Party for spreading unnecessary and unfortunate propaganda during the just concluded general election suggesting otherwise.
Sinckler yesterday revealed that the Estimates were virtually complete and will be laid in Parliament Tuesday, March 12. Parliamentarians will debate them six days later.
Speaking moments after his victory motorcade to celebrate a second consecutive victory at the polls in St Michael North-West, Sinckler noted plenty of work for the Estimates had been done behind the scenes.
No delay
