Friend of food?

Is this fowl a friend or food?
These two boys were spotted riding along Westbury Road, St Michael, last week. Though this was a normal occurrence, closer insepction showed one of the boys had a dark-coloured rooster in one hand, holding it by the scruff of its neck.
Photographer Reco Moore quickly snapped the picture as he wondered if the bird was going to a coop or a pot.
