A NUMBER OF tourism officials from the southern Caribbean have gathered in Barbados today with an aim to come up with ways to solve some of the issues affecting the cruise industry.
The two-day conference, Cruise Alliance of the Southern Caribbean, is being held at the Hilton Barbados. Among the representatives are those from Barbados, Grenada, St Kitts, Dominica, Curacao and Antigua.
Over the two day, participants are expected to identify the challenges facing the cruise industry including issues of increasing competition from other cruise destination and high oil prices. (MM)
