Bajans mourn the loss of six in Tudor Street fire

BARBADIANS of all walks of life stopped what they were doing yesterday and stood in silence for three minutes as a mark of respect to the six young women killed in last Friday’s firebombing attack in Bridgetown.
From Speightstown in the north to Six Roads in the east, across Christ Church to Belleplaine, St Andrew, Bajans stopped their cars or stood up where they were and bowed their heads in quiet reflection at midday when sirens went off, and church bells were tolled, to mark the start of the period of silence that was called for by Prime Minister David Thompson.
