THE ROYAL BARBADOS POLICE FORCE (RBPF) will soon be rolling out an aggressive 2013 Yuletide policing programme as it seeks to keep the public safe during the upcoming festive season.
The programme will include a series of crime prevention tips informing the public to be vigilant and alert as they go about their shopping and other business over the next eight weeks.
This is according to Erwin Boyce, Acting Assistant Commissioner, as he spoke to the media after the launch of a partnership between the RBPF’s community relations division and the Pan-American International Insurance Corporation (PAIIC), at PAIIC’s Cheapside, Bridgetown office yesterday.
He said the programme, which would be cognizant of “the times we are in”, would be formally launched next week.
According to the senior lawman, the programme would ensure all Barbadians and visitors were safe and able to enjoy the Christmas season.
