Greetings!“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Creator. Make his paths straight,” is a quote that I attribute to my husband and son. Likewise, today concludes my male voyage, and I truly enjoyed being inspired by the Creator and scripting these positive articles for male readers. I know that all men will awake to their true “pharaoh power”.Additionally, I adore the saying “home drums beat first”, therefore, I will provide a sneak preview about two males that understand and respect Barbadian “silent doctors”.Seth Watson lives holistically, is an ardent hiker, has a powerful physique, is approachable especially about health and family issues, loves exercising the mind and body and, most importantly, is at peace with himself.A real zest to retain excellent health while maintaining his positive self are important factors in his life. He begins his day by conversing with his Creator and then drinking two glasses of water. If time permits, he takes a walk, followed by a cereal – either cornmeal, flax seeds or oats porridge. Seth also prepares a brew to take to work for his colleagues and him to maintain their well-being. The secret brew goes by my title “Real McCoy”, it includes “silent doctors” – mangoes, coconut jelly, nuts and grains, garlic, celery, turmeric, ginger, okras, orange juice and coconut water blended for about eight minutes. He always ensures that we sample it. Its powerful effects includes absolute “perking” power, excellent bowel movements, healthy skin and hair, a morning booster and an effective fortifier. Bush teas are also part of his morning regime. If I am unable to steep the bush tea, Seth will singly brew rice bitters, neem or lemon grass. He also combines Pride of Barbados, bay and soursop leaves, rosemary, turmeric, garlic and lemon grass; this is used to maintain the body’s equilibrium. While some people are happily drinking other commercial processed teas, Seth prefers and adores allowing “home drums” to beat first. He loves drinking Barbadian-grown herbs from our silent doctors mini rainforest. At lunch Seth will consume a very holistic meal which always includes vegetables. My son Akinola is focused on the academics of the herbs. He understands the importance of studying the silent doctors and if he goes driving around or playing with his friends and he spots silent doctors, he is quick to rescue them for his “mummy”. His ancestral knowledge base about herbs is quite evident. His favourite bush tea is bay leaf. In conclusion, I thank Seth, Akinola and all other males for their masculine support. Males, continue to let your light shine, and remember, silent doctors do heal. O, men! Heal yourselves.
