PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad – Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is optimistic that the current crime wave can be alleviated under the incoming Commissioner of Police, Canadian national Dwayne Gibbs.
She made the comment on Monday, following the annual Independence Day cocktail reception hosted by the T&T Police Service.
“I am very hopeful and quite convinced that we will see change given the new leadership, not just for that commissioner (Gibbs), but also with the new deputy commissioners,” Persad-Bissessar said. (Trinidad Expressive)
