Two Barbados Under-19 cricketers are the latest recipients of the Lord Gavron Award.
Yesterday evening in the President’s Suit at Kensington Oval, West Indies Under-19 wicketkeeper-batsman Shane Dowrich and Barbados Under-19 allrounder Roston Chase accepted the prize from Lord and Lady Gavron.
The ceremony was witnessed by members of the Barbados Cricket Association; Dowrich’s parents David and Sonia; Chase’s parents Radcliffe and Margaret, and past recipients of the award. The prizes include plaques, laptop computers and a monetary award.
Lord Gavron said he was pleased to see the former awardees, while Kemar Roach, the only one who was missing, was in Sri Lanka with the West Indies senior team.
