Port of Spain – The Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce has lauded Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith on his performance.
In a media release on Wednesday, the chamber said three months after his appointment, Griffith had brought a degree of hope to the public and seemed set to restore much needed confidence in the police service.
“While it is still early in his tenure, he has demonstrated the kind of leadership that informs the cohesion and diligence evident in many recent high-profile police engagements.
“The chamber hopes that this will not only continue, but that it will eventually result in a visibly measurable reduction in crime.
“Commissioner Griffith and his team have declared their intention to use our tax dollars to attack crime and destroy crime networks wherever they may exist; we fully support such efforts,” it stated. (Express).
