Barrack gives Govt till monthend

After waiting in vain for six years, Al Barack is putting his foot down.
The cash-strapped contractor today gave Government an ultimatum for the first time, demanding to be paid the $70 million owed him by the end of this month, or face more court action.
At a 45-minute press conference held at his company’s headquarters in Warrens, St Michael, Barack also made it clear that he has absolutely no interest in acquiring the National Housing Corporation’s building on Country Road.
He had been awarded the building by the law courts in 2006, after suing Government for what then was a $34 million debt for completion of the Warrens Office Complex.
“I don’t want the building . . . . I want my money, and if I don’t get it by the end of the month, there will be more court action,” Barack promised.
