I have been married for the past 20 years and my wife now has a boyfriend off the island. During that time I got two women pregnant; one in Barbados and one who lives abroad.
The trouble is, my wife does not know and my overseas girl wants to send the child to Barbados or have it put up for adoption.
What should I do?
My wife will kill me if she finds out about the child. I also have six children from her, together with
16 years of a happy marriage. The last four years were just not good at all.
I do not know what to do, so please help me.

I get really annoyed when children stand to suffer at the hands of irresponsible adults, who throw around their bodies for all kinds of sexual pleasure while engaging in unprotected sex.
While your wife should not judge you too harshly – based on what you’ve said about her “off-island boyfriend”, she stands to hear about the overseas child at some point. What about the one in Barbados?
I think you should muster the courage to talk to your wife about both children. If your friend overseas decides to send the child here and your wife refuses to look after the young one, (no one can blame her) then adoption would be the best thing – although it would be a pity for an innocent child to be parted from its natural parents due to simple selfishness.
Why go the route of unprotected sex, if there is no desire to be a true father or mother to a child?
If you or the child’s mother do not want to have the child, I would agree on adoption. I’m sure we’ve got loving couples out there who long for children but cannot have any of their own.
I hope you’ve learnt from these experiences.
