Students of the Westbury Primary School got a fun but effective lesson in solar energy when SolarMax, the mascot visited them this morning, dressed in his skin-tight black and yellow suit.
Avery Mascoll, student of the post graduate degree in project management and evaluation at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill Campus and SOLARMAX project manager, explained that the project was a part of his thesis.
He said the launching of the project was not only to unveil the attention grabbing and entertaining mascot but also to increase awareness among the general public about the benefits of solar power.
SolarMax is scheduled to visit a series of schools over the next two weeks.
