A NEW HOSPITAL that will attract millions of dollars in foreign investment and employ more than 1 000 people is but one of the business ventures construction magnate Sir Charles Williams is seeking to get involved in.
After a tour of the Apes Hill property, which includes golf and polo facilities, in St James, and the Farmers Dam in St Thomas yesterday, Sir Charles spoke to the media on some of the business ventures he was hoping to see come to fruition.
Sir Charles said the hospital, a partnership with a Canadian company, would cater to cosmetic surgery and recovery.
“If the people go ahead with what they want to do, the investment implications would be, at the very minimum, US$250 [million] to $300 million and it would mean employment for anything between 1 000 and 1 400 people during its construction stage,” he said.
