STOCKY?FORWARD?Walton “Chico” Burrowes was a one-man strike force for Mackeson Brittons Hill on Thursday at the Wildey Football AstroTurf, scoring an amazing six goals.
Burrowes scored all the goals as second-placed Brittons Hill kept alive their slim hopes of capturing this year’s Digicel Premier League title with a 6-1 thrashing of traditionally strong Claytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame.
Brittons Hill moved to 32 points, five behind BDF,?with each team having two matches remaining. Significantly, Brittons Hill trimmed the goal difference between the teams to six.
After scoring two first half goals in the 22nd and 26th minutes, Burrowes had a further three goals in a seven-minute span (69th, 73rd and 75th) before climaxing his phenomenal night with a sixth strike in the 86th minute.
Dwayne Mars got Dames’ consolation goal in the 49th minute.
In the evening’s first game, Pride of Gall Hill beat Cosmos 1-0, through a 58th minute goal by Barbados Under-17 striker Shaquille Boyce, to move into third place on 28 points.
