Roston Chase has every reason to be on a high.
The 18-year-old former Combermere student is the lone newcomer in the Barbados team for the first match of the regional four-day cricket competition starting next week Friday.
Chase earned his call-up after an outstanding season for Guardian General Barbados Youth in the LIME Division 1 competition in which he scored 705 runs (ave. 58.75) in nine matches and captured 24 wickets (ave. 21.00) with his handy off spin.
He further pressed his claim for national selection in two trial matches in which he impressed with scores of 136, 47 and 71 not out.
Yesterday, Chase joined his teammates for a practice session at Kensington Oval.
