Pampalam will hit the stage again this year. Following last year’s show in special tribute to its creator, the late Jeannette Layne-Clark, the production this year will again be under the directorship of her sister Pauline Layne, who is the producer, as well as co-writer for the first time.
Much of the material for the show, subtitled All In De Fine Change, reflects the prevailing recessionary climate. The show will offer a number of new and exciting poems, all promising the kind of rib-tickling and incisive social and political commentary for which Layne-Clark was well known and respected.
Pampalam 2010 runs for eight nights in October at the Queen’s College Hall, opening October 2, and having its final performance October 30. (PR)
